Swimming for Schools

Swimming for schools without unnecessary organisational burden

Every school has different options. Some need regular swimming lessons during the school year, others are looking for an intensive block or want to combine swimming with a residential stay in nature.

We will propose a suitable model based on the age and number of children, the required scope, pool availability and the school's options. We take care of the expert delivery of the lessons and help set up the organisation so that it is as clear as possible for the school, teachers and children.

Transport, pool, accommodation and accompanying programme — according to the specific offer and place of delivery.

Compulsory swimming education

We help schools deliver compulsory swimming education

At the primary stage of elementary school, swimming education is compulsory in a minimum scope of 40 lessons. The head teacher decides how it is distributed across year groups and how it is organised.

Most often the lessons are split across two consecutive year groups, usually 20 lessons each. They can also be organised in concentrated blocks.

Regular lessons

Lessons take place at a regular interval during the school year. The programme can be split across two consecutive year groups.

Intensive lessons

Swimming lessons are concentrated into one or two weeks and take place every school day. We set the exact number of days and blocks according to the required time allocation and the school's options.

We help set the number of lessons, the time allocation and the content so that the programme follows the school's educational programme.

The specific form of delivery and recognition of the lessons is determined by the head teacher in line with the school's educational programme and the current rules of the Czech Ministry of Education. The information is based on the current ministry recommendation on swimming education.

For each programme you can send a non-binding inquiry right away – we will get back to you with a tailored offer, usually within two working days.

Regular swimming lessons

Lessons running at a regular rhythm during the school year. Children have time to gradually acquire, practise and consolidate new skills.

02

Intensive swimming courses

Concentrated lessons where the school comes to the pool every day for one or two weeks. A suitable solution for schools that want to schedule swimming as a compact block.

03

Swimming schools in nature

A residential programme combining swimming, sport, time away from school and shared class experiences. We prepare the swimming content according to the age and abilities of the children.

Under certain organisational and legal conditions, an intensive swimming programme can also be linked to compulsory swimming education. The specific solution must always be set with the school management so that it complies with the principle of free elementary education and is available to all pupils.

How we teach

We don't group children by age alone, but also by what they can actually do in the water

One class can include children who already swim well, children with little experience and children who are afraid of the water. That is why we adapt the programme and groups to the children's current skills.

  • safety and trust
  • respect for each child's individual abilities
  • gradual acquisition of skills
  • grouping children by swimming level
  • appropriate challenges without unnecessary pressure
  • joy of movement in the water
  • sound technical foundations
  • hygiene and safe behaviour
  • self-rescue basics
  • ongoing consolidation of skills

Cooperation

How the cooperation works

  1. 01

    We identify the school's needs

We discuss the year group, number of children, required scope and preferred period.

  2. 02

    We recommend a suitable format

We propose a regular, intensive or residential option.

  3. 03

    We prepare the organisation

We fine-tune the schedule, venue, staffing and division of responsibilities.

  4. 04

    We group children by ability

At the start of the course we assess the children's current level and adjust the groups.

  5. 05

    We deliver the swimming programme

Lessons are led by experienced instructors according to the agreed content and scope.

The scope of organisational support depends on the specific programme. We do not automatically arrange transport, pool rental, accommodation or medical cover — always according to the specific offer and place of delivery.

For schools

What the school management needs to know

For details that depend on the location and programme, we state that we will share them in an individual offer.

We prepare the programme for kindergartens and for the primary stage of elementary school. We adapt the content to the age and experience of the children.

If the lessons are provided by an entity outside the register of schools and educational facilities, the presence of the school's teaching staff is required during the lessons. The specific rights, obligations and responsibilities of the parties will be defined in the contract.
